Bambili's Approach

Our Approach

At Bambili Foundation we understand the value in building long term relationships with communities in which we work.

Our aim is to facilitate the development of projects identified by communities themselves. We collaborate with community members, government and other stakeholders to ensure that the projects which are delivered have long term sustainability. We appreciate the nee to nurture and empower people, culture and customs. Only through these actions combined can material development take place.

Ububele is a centre of learning with a focus on improving the emotional development and wellbeing of children under 7, their parents and other caregivers. Since the beginning in 2000, its work has centred on the promotion of mental health and the development, field testing and advocating of low-cost models of preventative care and experiential training, which are suitable for low-resource environments. Located in Kew, our programmes are mainly conducted in nearby Alexandra. Ububele, which means kindness, embodies the notion of public interest psychology.
Number 43 Trelawney Park KwaMagogo is a foundation dedicated to converting 43 Trelawney Park, a house in Manzini, Swaziland, into a national historic site. Number 43 was known as KwaMagogo and provided support to South Africa’s liberation movement for many years. Unearthing a true historical site, celebrated by two nations, the South Africans and the Swazis, for the liberation and bringing into existence the largest democracy on the African continent – after more than 40 years in existence. It has been described as the nerve centre for the operations of the ANC and its armed wing Umkhonto weSizwe in Swaziland and has been paralleled to Liliesleaf Farm, in Rivonia.
